Privacy policy

GojiGif doesn’t collect, send or store any information about you. The app makes no network connections, and your recordings and GIFs never leave your Mac.

Who we are

GojiGif is made by Wolfberry AB, a software company in Sweden. You can reach us at info@wolfberry.se.

What the app collects

Nothing. GojiGif has no telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, advertising or account system, and it includes no third-party code that contacts a server.

Network connections

The app makes no network connections. It doesn’t check for updates, activate a licence or report usage, and it works fully offline.

Your recordings

While you record, frames are kept in memory only until the GIF is written. The GIF is saved to your Downloads folder, or to a folder you pick with the Save to… button. To remember that folder, macOS stores a bookmark to it inside the app’s own container on your Mac. We never see your recordings or GIFs, and the app never uploads them.

Permissions

On macOS, GojiGif asks for Screen Recording permission the first time you record; macOS requires it for any app that reads the screen. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can only write to your Downloads folder and to folders you choose. It asks for no other permissions.

This website and downloads

This website, gojigif.wolfberry.se, is hosted on GitHub Pages, and the downloads are hosted on GitHub. When you visit the site or download the app, GitHub processes your IP address and request details to deliver them, under the GitHub Privacy Statement.

To link straight to the latest version, the home page asks GitHub’s public API (api.github.com) for the newest release. That request goes from your browser to GitHub and carries no information from us. The site uses no cookies, analytics, tracking or third-party fonts.

Children

GojiGif collects no data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and publish the new version on this page.
